Psychological practices in mystical traditions from the Archaic to the present day


The book was a comprehensive, retrospective study of the phenomenon psychological practices, their goals, methods, and philosophical studies, the evolution and interaction with other forms of spiritual life. For the first time examined the differences in religious, occult and esoteric psychopractices. It is shown that an integral psychopractice’s cultural phenomenon inherent to humanity at all stages of its development. Special attention is paid to psihopractices in the modern world. The book deals with issues such as the location of altered states of consciousness in the culture and religion, the role of religion in the formation and maintenance of sociotypes and cultural significance of esoteric psychopractices. Revealed philosophical and religious roots of modern psychotherapy and her place in religious processions.
